CBD,  Synthetic Cannabinoid,  Synthetic CBD

Synthetic CBD is NOT the same as CBD from the Hemp plant!

Synthetic CBD is a chemical-based formula designed to mimic the effects of real CBD inside the body. It tricks your body into thinking that CBD is present, even though it isn’t. Hemp-derived CBD is a cannabinoid, a natural compound found in hemp that binds to receptors in the body. Synthetic cannabinoids, often confused with synthetic CBD, are not one drug. Hundreds of different synthetic cannabinoid chemicals are manufactured and sold, with new ones carrying unknown health risks becoming available each year. Synthetic cannabinoids are popular because users often believe they are legal and relatively safe. A study indicates that synthetic cannabinoid users who experienced acute psychotic disorder induced by these drugs show cognitive impairments similar to those of schizophrenic patients. Some of the side effects of synthetic cannabinoids, often mistaken for synthetic CBD, include hemorrhagic stroke, acute kidney and renal injury, serious heart issues such as tachycardia, irregular heartbeat, hypertension, chest pain, respiratory difficulties, muscle twitches, anxiety, agitation, psychosis, suicidal thoughts, psychiatric conditions, and possibly permanent cognitive impairment. One study notes that synthetic cannabinoid users who had acute psychotic disorder showed cognitive impairments akin to those seen in schizophrenic patients. The effects of synthetic cannabinoids also wear off more quickly than cannabis, which can result in someone taking more of the drug in quick succession, leading to a higher chance of negative effects and dependence. Deaths from Synthetic Cannabinoid Use

Perhaps the most glaring difference between synthetic cannabinoids and natural CBD is that no deaths have ever been recorded due to CBD or cannabis toxicity, but synthetic drug toxicity has been a direct cause of death in many synthetic cannabinoid-related fatalities. This is largely because synthetic cannabinoids can be 10 to 100 times more potent, causing acute events like heart attacks. In the USA, there were 37,500 reported cases of seizures and 3,682 reported cases of poisonings related to synthetic cannabinoid use in 2014 alone. From 2011 to 2017, there were 55 deaths in Australia where synthetic cannabinoids were considered a contributory cause, with accidental toxicity being the most common cause of death. In addition, while there is no documented overdose death from natural CBD use, there are growing reports of fatal outcomes following consumption of synthetic cannabinoid drugs, including side-effect complications that have led to death. Numerous reports indicate that both healthy and vulnerable individuals suffer from recurrent psychosis after acute or repeated consumption of synthetic cannabinoid drugs. For further details, see the CDC’s report on synthetic cannabinoid poisonings.

In conclusion, synthetic CBD, or any other element of the hemp plant created as a synthetic reproduction, can be life-threatening, particularly when confused with synthetic cannabinoids. Please contact The CBD Connection for real, true, honest information and products!
